Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said while there were talks of the Opposition taking over the Federal Government, Barisan still held the majority and that support for the coalition should not be underestimated.

On another matter, Muhyiddin, who is also the Education Minister, said schools with only a handful of students would not be closed down. He said most of these schools were vernacular schools and the policy was to allow them to operate.
“We don’t close down such schools because if we do, then it will become an issue, Even if they only have one student and 10 teachers, we let them operate and pay for the running of the school. We are a kind and caring Government.
You can discredit our other contributions to the nation but you cannot discredit our efforts in showing that we care for the people. It is never a good idea to allow 3000 people getting brainswash from the malicious speeches made by the closet commie, Lim Kit Siang. In order to quell incitement made by DAP’s supreme leader, it was a smart move to revoke their permit. But no one has ever mentioned about our kind deeds in allowing the dinner to proceed as usual. We only confisticated their PA system. These ungrateful chinamen should be thankful to us that we did not ban DAP’s dinner in the first place knowing that their intentions were malicious. It is gross injustice against our goodwill that Supreme Leader Lim KS refuses to acknowledge our kindness, but it’s okay, as long the people knows we are a kind and caring government, it is more than enough.
“However, we do advise them to consider relocating or moving so that better facilities can be provided for the students and they will be able to interact with others,” he said when commenting on reports that SRJK (T) Ladang Sungai Timah has only one student for the past six months as most estate workers around the area had moved out.
