Marketing wise, it is probably a good idea. As mentioned by other commentators, a lot of Malays do watch Chinese dramas. Just imagine if the dramas are in BM. One lady who's a fan of Chinese dramas complained that she hated reading the subtitles and wished that they were dubbed in BM. It's good for the actors as well. Will definitely give them more exposure and the scope to expand their horizon. About quality of the local TV dramas, some of them are good and some are horrible.
