Sometimes, I do not know whether to laugh or cry after reading this article. If there is ever such show, I would like to see the Malaysian version of â€Kids says the darnest thing†but the only difference is these guys are way too old to have the mentality of a kid. But sadly, whatever they said seems contradicting. Contradictory in the sense of whatever cabinet post they are holding.
We have a brilliant minister that says all bloggers are liars. What’s next? All bloggers are homosexuals, sadist and anarchist? And they should be eradicated from the cyberspace? So what’s the deal with registering bloggers under what’s-that-long-ass-ministry-name-again? The manglish speaking minister says “no censorship lahâ€, but the deputy say must register.
Who’s in charge actually? Maybe the myopic ministers should lead by example by registering themselves with the local authorities in order to stop malicious, harmful but sometimes stupid and half past six comments (with terms and conditions applied of course). At least it can stop them spewing crap once and for all since the term ‘malicious’ can be seen in different context.
After few days of fiery digital assault from the bloggers, the deputy attempted to pusing (twist) his previous statement and said “Oh no, we are not out to censor or halt their (bloggers) sinister activities. We are merely assessing the situation. We just want to know who they are (yeah, so you can also sue them openly without resorting to guerilla tactics mah). It has nothing to do with censorship. I swear! The newspaper is lying! They misquoted my statements!†*Walks away scott free* Seriously, this sentence is becoming a popular pick up line already.
