This post is partially inspired by Cedric’s experiences with rude waiters/waitresses so I’m going to tell mine. There’s particularly an over rated Ciken Lice Ball restaurant in a certain part of Malacca that I shall not name. I do not wish to get my ass sued like Jeff Ooi and Rocky Balboa errrr I mean Bru. You do not want to read headlines like “blogger anthraxxxx got sued by Ciken Ball mafias for spreading ball-less lies and malicious contents about the holy food†in China Press tomorrow. But then again, if they are mafias, they will just kill me off with their rice balls instead of suing me.
China Press has been very observant in their report. They will even write a story about a puncture tayar and put it in the as the headlines. I would like to pray some day such news will appear in The Star very soon. First of all the reason I think this restaurant is extremely over rated is because of its exorbitant price tag and their infamous customer service. If I can, I often avoid this restaurant at all cost but one of my old friend insisted eating there so I have no choice but to oblige his wishes. I mean we can’t argue with a hungry man right?
Their customer service is so great they think they have the right to curse every customer they want. You see, I can at least tolerate if their faces are as sour as asam boi but I cannot stand it when they just “threw†the dishes on your table instead of putting them on it. Sometimes they just shove in the dish you didn’t order and insisted you made a mistake or sometimes they do not understand and insisted we are the idiots. Well that’s not all. It gets even annoying when you order hot drinks, they’ll serve you the cold version of it and vice versa.
It gets even fuglier when they start abusing you with uncouth language when you tell them they made the wrong order and insisted they are right. This is moment where I almost threw a punch at this fucker but was restrained. Come to think about it, I was quite fortunate that I didn’t throw a punch at him because it will only dirty my fist with his hingus and I also do not want my face to end up in China Press with headlines that goes like “Rowdy Brawl in Ball Ball Ciken Lice shop†or “Blogger got killed in Hainanese Amokâ€.
