You can’t blame people for being furious when the Malaysian Film Producers Association wants Hollywood movies to be priced at RM 20. You can charge RM 1 million for a hollywood flick but it can never attract more people to watch local movies if it is littered with bad scripts and horrible casting.

What’s with the cetak rompak matrix reloaded scenes in Cicakman 2? Yes, I am talking about the twin white looking fellas in Matrix Reloaded. It does not end there. I can still spot another scene in this cicak flick where he performs the lorry stunt (which is quite similar with Matrix Reloaded again). Tsk it is time for them to show some originality in their shows.

Why would I pay another RM 9 to see a copy and paste movie in different languages? I have another feeling this so called bunch of film producers are accomplices of Uncle Ho. It’s a win win situation. Uncle Ho gets to increase his wealth while the malaysian film producers will feel very much protected from Hollywood. Same like Proton and their cronies. Except that you can’t really pirate a car. Oh wait, actually you can. Just look at China’s QQ and Ha Fei cars. But Malaysia is not going to produce APs for china made cars coz jatuh standard.

I digress. The Malaysian film producers obviously do not give a fuck if they dishes out bad garbage for us to watch every year. Who would bother to improve the quality of their movies knowing well that they do not have to compete with Hollywood no more? Proton is a good example. 25 years of being in business they don’t even bother to get basic stuffs to work right like reducing the rate of faulty powered windows and now they want the Malaysian Film to follow the only path of eventual self destruction.

KLIA heist/crime rate.

It is one of the airports where security guards were quite a rare sight. Most airports in the world are heavily guarded by the army and police for the fear of terror attacks who goes as far as labeling any one who wears a turban or sports a beard or some one who has an arabic name as suspected terrorists.

Well we cannot blame them when their leaders brainwashed their mind that USA is the only country on earth. KLIA was quite a different case where you can only spot security personnels at the departure hall. While KLIA is free from terror attacks however they are not from free robberies.

When robbers have the audacity to attack a major airport, it tells you alot about the crime rate of the country itself. The police chief seems to have the belief that the growing crime rate in this country is hardly anything to be concerned about. He compares Malaysia with war torn Iraq and asked us to be thankful we don’t have to deal with suicide bombings everyday.

What do you expect when we have the deputy prime minister who also asks us to change our perception on the growing crime rate? We have Murder, ATM heist, mat rempit menace news plastered on our TV every day. So what? Change your perception lor. As usual, the airport is only littered with guards after the incident.

It further re-enforces the belief that we only take action AFTER something bad happens. That belief used to be a myth but the airport heist has proven otherwise. The Prevention is the better than cure mantra does not exists in our book of culture simply because we don’t believe in them. Take the notorious potholes in our country as example.

There is no gravity defying stunts nor there is 3D effects ripoff from Matrix. There is no exaggerated moves like Kungfu Hustle either which makes it a 100% authentic martial arts flick. Even the japanese guy has some good moves in him before he was pounded beyond recognition in the end.

The only not so great part is the typical chinese nationalism ala fist of fury portrayal but it was bearable. However, I was cheesed off when the cineplex did not even show the final scene where teenage Bruce Lee asks the elderly Ip Man to teach him Wing Chun. Made me wait for nothing. Tiu.

It seems like a magic word to pull the crowd to fill up their declining viewership rate in the cinemas. Then we have the disastrous Shaolin Girl that hardly represents anything Shaolin in it.

All I see are a bunch of exaggerated computer imagery effects. I am not surprised if you’ll be getting Kung Fu Sex, Kung Fu AV Queen, Kung Fu Interracial Shit, Kung Fu Gang Bang-er or Kung Fu Kimochi in the future but I think it will remained underground because I am sure as hell it is not going penetrate the Malaysian censorship anyway but who cares about the censors when there is pirate king in this country, right right right right?

If my memory served me well, I think such movies already made its presence in the porn scene long time ago but luckily it doesn’t have a kung fu tag on it. So let’s keep our fingers crossed before some one decided to break the norm.

But it gives me a different experience because I get to look the landmarks in my home state in a different perspective. They are good singers and they are pretty good at doing covers of some of the famous oldies. I was so oblivious in the past I did not realise those large tablets are actually tombs. Standing inside the chambers gives you the quaint feeling that this tomb has already been around for more than 300 years.
