nama wee strikes back

Date November 10, 2007

Namewee aka Namawee aka the negarakuku guy aka whateverwee is back. It is good to see that he is not remorseful at all for what he did to our ‘original’ national anthem. But I bet this guy has learn his lessons by not touching certain topic deemed sensitive in our multicultural society though.

This time his song is more subtle and less direct but if you understand mandarin well enough, you will know what he’s trying to convey. This time he using our famous internet profane abbrevation as his song cover which I find really creative.

Those who do not know the meaning behind the abbrevations are probably too innocent and it’s better to keep it that way. Sigh if I can only find inspiration from ccb to write a song….

Negara kuku is a truthful perspective that a lot of Chinese people, including myself share about our “great” country, Malaysia. Some times the truth needs to be spit out no matter how bad it is and that is what Nama Wee did very well.. from a Chinese point of view.
