I love my country. Even though she is plagued with internal problems and she is not perfect, I still love her. Looking at this photo makes me happy. Sometimes I would even smile to myself. Luckily I am alone when looking at this photo. Otherwise some one would think I’m crazy laughing alone in the middle of the night.
It may look like a simple photo. But it has a deeper meaning than that. You can see there are various races that comprise ethnic Indians, Chinese, Lunbawang, Peranakan, and Eurasian in it. This is a wonderful sight because we often heard news on the deteriorating racial relations in our country. Our ‘leaders’ often advised people not to make seditious remarks.
Fine, I am all for it if punishments are being vetted out fairly to those who made seditious remarks. But when blatant double standards are evident in handling such situation, do not expect your advice to carry any weight. It works both ways. All right enough of this political crap. I love Malaysia. Nowhere other in this world you can find such a diverse country (actually there is but since this post is about Malaysia, it needed to be one sided lah lol).
The diversity actually has an effect on its citizens. Thanks to the diversity, I am able to speak and understand at least 5 languages. Okay technically it’s 3 languages and 2 dialects. Because of the diversity, I am able to speak English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin, and two main chinese dialects such as Cantonese and Hokkien.
The language learning process is fun especially when our first spoken and understood words always evolve from profanities. I may lafu Malaysia, but I only hate the imbeciles who run it.
