violent games

Date December 10, 2007

Violence. Seems to dominate the gaming world nowadays. Sucks I know. But that’s the reality of the gaming industry now. Some one once told me Final Fantasy is violent. He got to be kidding me man. If Final Fantasy is violent, then Grand Theft Auto is holy. That statement is rather absurd lol. But honestly, I would rather play games that works my mind rather than depending on violence to sell their titles. I am missing legend of Zelda now.

I have no problems with games with violent content. But I dislike developers who disregard good storyline, plot, characters and gameplay and rely on pure violent content to create hype and sell games. Example. Manhunt 2.

Well, for myself, if a game is both violent and works my mind then it would be an awesome combination!

Does the Fallout series ring any bell? :)

I believe the first Fallout game was quite violent, manages to work my mind a bit and has an adequate storyline, plot, characters and gamplay at that time of its release, back in 1997?

Mind you, I still play Fallout 2 when I have the time. :D

    Cheers!

Deimos:- I love Fallout but what I am trying to say is i don’t like games depended heavily on violence to sell their titles.
