The pathway I took earlier leads me to another part of the pasar malam. Damn, this pasar malam has grown larger the last time I went there. Although it is fun to visit a pasar malam, but it’s not so fun when you have to carry kilo tonnes of food around your arm alone while snapping photos.
This part is where the stalls are made of Malay and Indian traders. Maybe it is due to the halal issue. I am sure our Malay brothers wouldn’t enjoy the sight of chinese hawkers slaughtering pork in front of them. So I guess it is a good thing to keep them separated. By the time I reach this part of the pasar malam, most of the stalls have began to pack their stuffs and prepare to leave. So no pictures.
Fortunately, one of the malay stalls that sells ramlee burgers are still open. Goodness gracious, this P ramlee is so hard to find and I had to walk for extra 40 minutes to locate them. But I guess it’s inevitable since I am not familiar with this pasar malam. But I was lucky enough to find them on time because most of the stalls around that area had already pack their stuffs.
It was 40 minutes well spent because I can never leave pasar malam without buying ramlee burgers. Well actually I can buy them in town but they are more costly as I always had one while I can have 2 from pasar malam. Further more Ramlee burgers are teh best!! Heaps better than those over priced burgers masquerading in popular brand names like Burger King and McD.
Hey I like Ramlee. I will not tolerate any fanboism for BK and Mc Dungu in my comment box and I assure you they will be purge immediately. Saya pantang dicabar! Whoops, I’m sorry for sounding like that ‘Father of Rallies’. I was a bit disappointed that their beef went out of stock so I had to settle for chicken instead.
With RM 1.30 for one, I can easily buy 5 of them at one go but I have other food to chow upon and I do not want die from over nutrition so I had to settle for two burgers instead. While I was looking at how the makcik prepare the burgers, I had to refrain from salivating.
I almost went berserk after getting aromatherapy from the fragrant burgers. Unhealthy I know. But life is short and something out there is going to kill you anyway. So it’s better to enjoy what the world has to offer before it comes to an end.
