JWW Bitch - My History teacher is history

Malaysia Today is a very good place to learn Malaysian history lol. Many laments that Malaysian history is boring but I guess it lies in the way it is being presented. Well at least the way RPK write the history bits are different from the nonsense we learn from our text book. I think it boils down to teaching method, like how bengbeng says his son is beginning to enjoy their mandarin lessons.

Even though both of my brothers are Chinese educated, they dislike learning Mandarin to the core. They once told me going to chinese school was like going to hell lol. Just like how History is hated by so many while I really think it is an interesting subject. For those who do not have a natural interest towards the subject, maybe they have to modify their teaching method.

Tell me lah, how not to fall asleep when MOST of the history teachers do is reciting the whole topic directly from the text book? If something like this continues, you might as well cut off the budget of hiring a history teacher and reassign them to teach another boring subject. Can save more money mah since the students can also read out loud from the text book directly unless they are dyslexic.

When I was still in school, I was lucky to have a good History teacher. He do not read his stuff from the text book. He basically teaches without using his book. Completely relying on his photographic memory. He is very good at relating an important event to real life event and he often gave a very funny example to illustrate the scene so that we can remember it instead of memorizing everything from the book.

He was hilarious. Instead of going deeper into the part where JWW Bitch was killed when he is in the midst of washing his cock, my teacher had to pull a killer punch by asking what shampoo JWW Bitch was using before he got his throat slit by Datuk yang Bermaharajalela. How I wish History lessons are taught in such way because memorizing is what the students do most of the time.

They memorize history and memorizing is freaking boring. Even I would fall asleep. My teacher changes all that and I got to laud him for successfully grasping everybody’s attention who was previously traveling in Dream Land during History classes.
