rancangan tahi malaysia - the best toilet ad on earth

Date February 14, 2008

This is a sign of brain drain.

When you have trash like this on TV, you won’t be surprised why so many people are switching to pay TV like Asstro. You won’t be even surprised why RTM will always remained backwards compared to their ‘privately’ run counterparts and they are still figuring out why they are constantly losing viewership.

It is very strange that even though RTM received lotsa funds for their daily round of propaganda, they are still able to produce ads of such calibre. But you don’t need me to tell you what happen to the rest of the fund lah. It might be made independently, but only RTM will approve ads of such stature. I mean, you can only find ads like this on RTM. Seriously, they should just disband their Quality Control and Creative Minds (i doubt they have one though) department.

Well, it is quite evident that Malaysians do not love their tandas enough. Hence, the birth of this ad. Too bad the quality of this ad reflects the quality of our public toilets. We just love to decorate the public toilet with our shit. Sometimes it get so bad that we can’t even flush the toilet and you can’t blame Shahnon Ahmad for getting the inspiration from Shit to write about Shit in his controversial shit book.

Actually it’s hardly controversial because the propaganda wants you to believe it’s controversial. I can attest to that because that book is definitely more entertaining than it sounds. Speaking about shit, it is good in a way because we will never run out of fertilizer to power up our agriculture industry. So yeah, this is RTM, Rancangan Tahi Malaysia. Kualiti pun macam tahi.
