Selling my slave for 500 Ringgit
April 5, 2008
It is sad because I had to bid farewell to this old computer of mine that served me well for more than 7 years.
Nevertheless, my daily activities had finally taken its toll on this old machine. So it is time for me to buy a new one.
I bought a new Dell laptop for almost RM 4000, minus 7 ringgit. Since I am always on the move of late, it is easier for me to make the decision to go for mobile computing.
Initially they told me the laptop will be delivered in 10 working days because there is a shortage in one of the parts I ordered. To my surprise, they arrived in just 5 working days. Earlier than I expected.
Many people have written reviews on this model so I am not going to write another boring review just for the sake of reviewing it. I’ll just state the specification instead.
Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 3MB Cache, 800 MHz FSB,
3GB of 667MHz Dual Channel DD2 SDRAM (free upgrade),
NVIDIA Geforce 8400M GS 128 GDDR3,
160 Gila bytes SATA Hard dick,
9 cell Lithium Ion Battery,
14.1″ Widescreen WXGA (1280×800) TFT Display
What happened to my old computer? I sold it to some one for RM 500. Since some one is willing to fork out RM 500, I might as well sell it as soon as possible before it depreciates even further.
