Rapist on the prowl
April 6, 2008
This is getting scary. Dad’s friend (let’s call him uncle lim) told us he saw a malay girl as young as 12 crying by the roadside for help while he was riding his bike to work. That’s not the scary part. The scary part is, she told uncle lim that she was raped. When uncle lim found that young girl, her clothes were ripped apart.
Yes, according to the girl, she was raped in broad day light when she heading to her school for some co-curiculum activities. She said she was grab by a car driver who came from the back of the road. She was raped in the neighboring rubber estate. I am not sure if she reported to the cops but Uncle Lim sent her home later on. Uncle Lim was thankful that the parents of the young girl did not misunderstood him.
I do not think any rapist would be so stupid to send the victims back to their home, right? But it is getting scarier. Malacca used to be a safe place but news about gruesome murders and rape incidents is dominating the local headlines lately. I wonder what the hell ketam is doing to improve the public safety in this state eh? I don’t think he will have much time because he might be too busy bashing his political opponents in his new found blog.

The security is so bad right now that all we could do is to be vigilant at all times. This is just so sick. What has happened to our society? It is sad to know that, and the only consolation is she is still alive and safe. Nurin is not as lucky.
Nonetheless, as a girl my heart still goes out for them.
