Royal London Circus memories

Date April 15, 2008

My first experience with Royal London Circus starts when I was 12 years old, in the year 1992. Royal London Circus was quite a big scale circus in those days because Malacca was littered with substandard circus act from some unknown cuntree back then. Royal London Circus had wide publicity in every Malaccan schools. I remember free tickets are only given to top 10 students from every classes. Yes Royal London was big.

They had their banners and promotional posters every where. I don’t know what was my neighborhood’s obsession with Royal London Circus they had all the banners literally hung up in every lamp post it can find. If you were a foreigner, you would easily mistaken it as some local political party. It look sorta like some political campaign where you only had to vote the circus into Parliament. Well, our parliament sorta resembles a circus anyway so we don’t really need Royal London Circus Troupe to represent the people.

Anyway I digress. Yes Royal London was big. It was so big even the price tag for every tickets are damn freaking big too. I can’t really remember how much it cost but it’s not what every students can afford. So getting free tickets to Royal London Circus are every kids dream in the early 90s. I tried really hard (mid-year exam) to improve my rankings in my class but in the end, I only manage to rank myself at number 12. I was devastated because I could not get the free tickets but it is a blessing in disguise. My dad surprise us (my brother and I) by saying he could get us free tickets because he has a friend who was in charge of ticketing.

I was really happy. Not only we got free tickets, we get to sit in the front row too. Seriously we were seated so close to the circus ring. I tell you one thing. It wasn’t the performance that blew me away. My most unforgettable moment was looking at a bunch of female performers in skimpy outfits at super close proximity. Now, that was a sight to behold. It literally blew me away and it felt like I was one step closer to Paradisa.

I mean, putting a boy with raging hormones in front of skimpy performers is never a good idea and is way too much for him to bear. Fortunately enough, I did not die from excessive nosebleed otherwise I wouldn’t be sitting here yakking away with my experiences and my brother was too young to understand why the female performers had balls on their chest.
