The Accidental Reunion

People say the world is small. Now I am beginning to think holds some truth after all. The Internet makes the world even smaller. I recently got to know this friend from Philippines who is working in Japan. While we were talking, I mentioned about a long lost classmate I used to have who is working as a chef. As I began to talk about this old classmate, she mentioned that my description is pretty similar to another friend of hers who is also working as a chef in Japan. And guess what?

After she mailed her friend for clarification, it turns out that we are talking about the same person after all. From that onwards, I am really beginning to think the world is freaking small. A small conversation from some one who is not even from the same country as I am turns out to be a reunion of sorts because she happens to know my classmate. I last saw this classmate way back in our graduation years which was in 1997. I am really happy for him because his dream of becoming a chef had come true. It’s nice to see you again, dude.
