Crappy Project Supper Star

I never watched any Superstar episodes. I am not talking about the real superstars both in the HK and Hollywood. I am talking about the crappy Chinese reality singing show. Yeah, I normally I don’t any of their shows. But the finals were held few days ago and my parents are an ardent follower of the competition which I couldn’t comprehend the reason since 99% of the contestants are either tone deaf or so full of themselves.

Furthermore I was working in front of the TV so it’s hard not to catch some of the scenes. Sometimes it is so obvious that some layman like me is able to tell the difference between tone deaf and good singing. It doesn’t help when the ‘professional’ judges heap praises on these deaf tone contestants. Oh my, luckily Simon Cowell is not contracted to this show, which is both a blessing to that mean himself and the contestants of Suppastar. It is so embarrassing when the host of the show sings so much better than the overall contestants of SuppaStar.

Well you cannot blame the host when he is a winner (I think) from Astro Talent Quest himself. ATQ churns out more stars than SuperStar anyway. At least ATQ is able to live up to its name at finding talents while SuppaStar seems to be better at poaching SMS stars rather than real stars. When the SuppaStar finale finally had a decent singer (but not good looking enough) VS a typical out of tune lala singer, they had to vote the latter. Hau is a decent singer. Not great but at least he is able to sing in tune. Much better than the other past whiners winners. I wish all the best to this dude because most of the stars today are not churned out from reality singing competition nowadays.
