indoor lighting

I usually enjoy reading indoors because it is much safer but it becomes a problem when it gets dark because my eye sight is not really good under such condition. What would I need to do in order to rectify such problem? I think the best way is to invest some money in good indoor lighting. Don’t ever underestimate the power of proper lighting because without one it is going to damage your eye sight.
