It’s sad to hear that Poloroid film production is coming to an end. I remember the first poloroid photo with this fake Michael Jackson card board figure at the local KFC joint with my brother 18 years ago. I am not sure if those who are born in the early 80s can still remember this gimmick but I do. I still have the old photo. Ahh the things we persuaded our mum to pay 30 bucks for an overpriced photo when we were kids. 30 bucks was quite a lot in those days you know?
I can also rememeber I made my mum to pay another overpriced cassette with this modified version of Locommotion song in it. Jonathan doesn’t really like posing in front of the camera when he was kid so you can safely say he’s not a natural poser so he will always make this sulky face whenever he realizes there’s a camera pointing at him. I am more expert in this field. But it’s going to be troublesome for me to looking for a scanner at the moment. I might post the photo next time.
I used to think this photo is pure junk but after all the things that happened last year, I came to realize that everything that is related to him will always be priceless. Sometimes it makes you think that it’s kinda absurd to appreciate some one when they are gone while you had all the opportunity to make up to it when this particular person was still around every day.
