Reading this letter from Malaysiakini reminds me of another silly project that have been raping the coastal line.
A satellite picture will show you roughly what it looks like from aerial view.

I never thought the project would crept its way to Klebang Beach. It sucks badly. Klebang Beach used to be nice place for leisure and to enjoy the breezy wind. Right now, the original landscape has been raped by the state government due to land reclamation. I do not know what’s with their obsession with man made islands as if Malacca is lacking natural islands on its own.
Saw the sandy ‘island’ on the opposite?
Speaking about man made island, Malacca had another infamous man made island that took them 10 years to build along the coastal line of Mahkota Parade had ended up deserted upon completion. The only good thing to talk about the island is the construction of the beautiful Straits Mosque on it. Such beautiful architecture deserves a better spot than this because it is surrounded with abandoned shop lots that could be a potential breeding ground for unlawful activities. Great, 10 years are needed to build a deserted island. What a great investment.
Fortunately we can still enjoy the breezy wind and beautiful skies despite the fugly reclamation but soon it will be littered with dozens of shop lots and houses.
This mini island literally covered the entire coastline and the sound of the waves along with it will naturally disappeared too. A beach is not a beach when it is too quiet with the absence of the waves. Thumbs up to satu lagi Projek Barisan Nasional and Ali Ketam.
