Flying a flag upside down is a distress signal. All military men know that. It is not a sign of disrespect. Many US citizens flew the US flag upside down right after 911.

The flag should not not be made a costume or drapery (can anyone think of who may be guilty?).

So it really puzzles me that Najib, being the ex-defence minister does not know that and did not even step out to defend Syed Azidi. Also, it puzzles me that Home Minister, Syed Albar is not aware of that too. Or could it be that our ex-Defence Minister and Home Minister are not aware that flying a flag upside down is not a sign of disrespect to the country and national flag? If so maybe they need to read more.
