Yes, the journalist who wrote the ‘fabricated’ report has resigned.
The Malaysiakini journalist, who wrote a news report that Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had issued a manifesto to back his bid for the Umno presidency, has resigned.
That is a good move and it’s pretty swift too. It further reaffirms my faith towards this news portal. But the question is, will Meloya journalists do the same since they are always caught red handed in doing so?
If the Meloya management ever decides to fire any irresponsible journalist, I am afraid they have to sack 90% of their workforce thus it is obviously going to cripple their operation. It finally makes sense why they are so adamant in defending their brand of freedom of speech. One last thing.
Do you show any remorse in publishing inaccurate news? No? Do you ask the reporter who wrote the erroneous article to resign? No? Then you better shut the fuck up.
