I can’t help but to feel amused after reading this article. Not because I disapproved their decision in choosing the Japanese car for their fast and furious shooting stunt, but I am reminded of the overpriced screw drivers debacle.
In case all of you have forgotten like the rest of the Malaysians, you do remember when the Sports and Youth Ministry was under fire for approving the purchase of screw drivers that cost something like 80 over ringgit per piece?
Sometimes I am quite cynical when I always imagine they could just purchase a set of proton wiras but place a quoting price of mitsubishi evo lancers for each of the unit? It does not help when our beloved wiras resembles a evo alot after it went under a round of modification. Not like it never happened before, you know?
Well, not in the police department at least but we should always remember the Sports and Youth Ministry incident that happened right under our nose. There is no harm in practicing Minority Report, right? Prevention is always better than cure but sadly these people do not seem to care (it explains the high HIV infection cases in Malaysia lately).
I don’t mind if they DO purchase evo cars, but just make sure don’t purchase a niptucked wira with the look of evo and quote a real evo price for it, ok?
