My grandma is pretty cute. Nah, not sexily cute in a cute way but damn cute in her demeanor although I won’t deny she was really cute when she was in her youth. Despite having some problem in remembering things, she can still remember us pretty well. That’s a good thing.
She only has problem in remembering what day it is and sometimes she don’t even remember if she has taken her meal ornot but I guess it is quite common for some one who is in her mid 80s. So I really wondered what was mahathir the old man’s secret in keeping his memory intact. At least he still remembers when did anwar actually sodomize another male.
Must have left a really deep impression in him. Anyway I am diggressing. When I visit grandma, she would always ask the same set of questions. Questions like “not working today? what are you working as?” I told her it’s sunday so I’m not working and she would reply “Oh really? I don’t even know it’s sunday”. Despite answering her the same thing every week, she would forget what I just said.
But she always seem to remember I am fair. Fair as in I have fair complexion because I know I am hardly fair every time I bashes the government. She says “You are so fair lah. Can fight with girls, I bet some girls would be jealous”. and her sentiments are shared with one of my female friends who always goes “Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee how comeeeeeeeeeeee youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu areeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee soooooooooooooo fairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ah?” everytime we met.
Okay she did not exactly express herself liddat but the gist is somehow similar. Then grandma would always add “Your dad is very fair when he was a kid too until he decided to take a sun bath in the middle of the desert”. She would repeat and say the same thing every week haha. Isn’t that cute?
Although she is very absent minded but her taste buds is still her strongest weapon and she can tell what ingredients were being added in the food we bought for her. She’s getting older, she may forget dates today but I just hope she won’t forget us permanently one day.
