I had an emotional chinese new year eve. No, it’s not because the reunion dinner was sappy and depressing at all. It’s because one of Jonathan’s kindergarden friends came to look for him. His friend did not return home for almost 2 chinese new year so he took this opportunity to look for my brother.
My mum fell asleep at the living room while she was reading her bible. Jonathan’s friend knocked on my door and he said “Is Jonathan in?”. She was shocked because she thought Jonathan came back for Chinese New Year only to realize the guy who knocked on the door was actually his friend.
Well it’s hard not to be shocked because there’s hardly any one who actually came to look for my brother after he died 2 years ago. My mum told him “Jonathan’s not here anymore”. Then Jonathan’s friend continued by asking “Oh, is he at the campus?”. “No, Jonathan passed away two years ago and he’s in heaven now” said Mum as she was overcame with emotions.
Tears started to drip from his eyes as he was stunned to learn of Jonathan’s abrupt departure. He apologizes for not knowing Jonathan’s death earlier but my mum told him it’s all right because there’s no one else besides Jonathan or Jonathan’s circle is connected closely to him because they both went to different schools after completing their kindergarden stint.
Didn’t expect one of Jonathan friends still come to look for him. Well at least some one else still remembers him. Anyway, I do not know how to continue writing this entry anymore so I am going to end it here.
