I read with great interest about the on-going controversy that a Singaporean Anime distributor is taking legal action against illegal downloaders. Seriously, taking legal action against downloaders? If it’s me, I wouldn’t think for a second to buy expensive animes from the shops.

Don’t be surprise some of the ‘original’ anime on sale in malaysia is directly ripped off from fansubs itself. So should these fansubbers sue this people too? I have always regard fansubbers as the Robin Hood of anime distribution. Go to the shops and take a look how much does every anime DVD costs then you will come to the conclusion why people are more keen on downloading rather than buying DVDs of substandard quality.

Not every one can afford them and please, stop uttering stupid remarks like “if you can’t can afford it, don’t watch it”. Just leave the fansubbers alone and go fuck yourself in your own licensing cubicle.

I wonder where to get Claymore manga in Malacca. You see, I can’t read Chinese so I cannot rely on the local manga rental center to satisfy my addiction. Any fans of action packed or sword wielding manga would be addicted to Claymore. Well, I am already addicted to its gorier counterpart, Berserk but I’m facing the same problem and the US imported version is not exactly cheap either.

You can’t really rely on the Bahasa version because you still have to deal with the dumb censorship issue. Who the hell is going to spend 30 bucks for every volume? Say if there are 10 volumes for each manga title, would I have to spend 300 bucks on a single title? Thinking about it is already enough to give me shivers.

As I was describing the fictional world I would like to be, the world in Heroic Age seem ideal to me. It is an anime of the combination of Mecha, War, and some supernatural powers. The traits I listed up there might sound too similar with another mecha anime Gundam. Rest assure it has nothing similar to Gundam apart from the space traveling and et cetera.

To be honest, I am little tired of watching gundam although I do enjoy the series. Maybe I’m craving for something new. I never get to watch many anime series when I was younger so the concept in Heroic Age might not be fresh to some people. Heroic Age is somewhat a new concept to me. Some of the mecha reminds me of Mospeada while the main protagonist’s transformation into the giant mecha beast greatly resembles Ultima Weapon from the Final Fantasy series which is damn cool to me.

Instead of piloting a mechanical vehicle, this guy morphs into a huge ass bio mechanical beast. Speaking of morph, it reminds me of Power Rangers where some of the stupid guys from the censorship board confused the word “morphin” with a type of drug, no thanks to their minuscule command in English.

I’m not saying my English is good because it’s not. But please lah, at least make some effort in researching that damn dictionary of yours. It’s not like every kids and teenagers would immediately make themselves present at a drug orgy once hearing that imaginary taboo word.

See, I’m straying away from my main topic again. Think it’s childish to indulge in such interest? Well I couldn’t care less because it’s good to feel young again once in a while. I’m into the 3rd episode of Heroic Age and I think I’m going to like it even more. It would be even greater if it’s going to be made into a playable game.

Great. I didn’t know the kamehameha i know from the phenomenal dragon ball anime series are named after a generation of ancient hawaii kings. Thanks to wiki for that piece of information. Was that even a japanese word/phrase to begin with? I mean, reading about these guys couldn’t stop me from thinking of Son Goku and the perverted Kame-shen-nin. Sometimes it also makes me wonder if they also perform kamehameha from their bed. Of course I wouldn’t want to take the mickey out from these guys. Gotta have some respect for the dead.

Phew that was an awesome battle. Come to think about it, which Naruto shippuuden isn’t awesome to begin with? Never knew Chiyo Gramps can fight like a speeding bullet. She reminds me of the grand old Yoda who has an old body but fights like Jet Li. But it’s possible that he’s on viagra fix. Sometimes I wonder if it’s possible for Yoda to move like that. But that’s manga. I probably knew how the fight will end but I’m a sucker for such anime and I still watch it anyway.

The puppet fight was so unique and the soundtrack is superb. So far, I enjoy the soundtrack even better than the previous Naruto series because it’s so intense it even made me fart along the process. Yeah when I get excited, I fart. That was unique, innit? Was just lying of course.

I’m spoil for choices because I have too many anime to watch at the moment. It doesn’t help when one of fansub suddenly released a whole bulk of the remaining Darker Than Black episodes at the same time. That being said, I’m expecting Bleach and Naruto the most. Naruto has become extremely draggy and the epic fight between Master Sasori The Puppet master and Sakura is taking forever. But I’m sure the fight will be wrapped up in few episodes to come. Since Naruto is nearing its 26th episode, I foresee another new opening. The opening for Naruto changes in every 26 episodes.

I finally succumbed to the evil temptation of downloading Heroic Age. I was pretty reluctant at first because there are 19 episodes for me to catch. Quite lazy to download the entire episodes if you ask me. But since I’m hearing many rave reviews on this anime and considering the fact that I love mecha genre, I think it’s worth a try. So Heroic Age here I come, courtesy of Mak Engkau (your-mum) Fansub.

Watched Death Note’s final episode a couple hours ago. While I think the ending was abrupt, the pacing was pretty good. At least Yagami Light has been defeated at this point. You should see the desperateness from his facial expression. I wonder if there is an alternated ending to it.

It was pretty disappointing that this particular scene where Light begs for Ryuk’s help did not take place in the anime. Well at least I want to see that scene animated. Maybe I’m hoping too much from it. In my opinion, I think the story lost some spark after L died. I don’t know why but I just felt the story became boring after L’s death. Maybe I’m in awe with his eccentricity.

Maybe such issue is not that evident in the manga but it’s more obvious in the anime since L’s characteristics are thoroughly portrayed in animated motion. I have to say Yamaguchi Kappei did a very good job at bringing L’s character alive. So what’s the moral of this story? Crime does not pay? Yeah right. We all know it doesn’t apply in Malaysia.

Yeap, like I said in my other blog, there is no naruto this week so don’t bother trying to look for it at Dattebayo. The reason for their hiatus? To keep their pace off the manga storyline just in case it caught up with it again. I think it will only last for this week until every thing will be reverted back to weekly basis. I am itching(not my dick) for next episode as well because a battle against Akatsuki will begin and further episodes ahead we will get to see Sasori’s real appearance and finally know why Kankurou do not even stand a chance against him at the first place.

Nice episode number. Anyway for those who did not read the manga, this episode has reach the where the legendary Admiral Garp met up with the Straw Hat pirates for the first time (as portrayed in the manga). As usual, Zorro is hopeless with his sense of direction. It is fortunate that he do not need to drive in this comic otherwise it will take him forever to reach his destination. Next week will be the week Admiral Garp reveals Luffy’s family lineage and that episode is going to be very awesome.
