Our politicians are getting more creative day by day.
This is the main reason why I enjoy writing about them.
Every word they uttered is such a inspiration to me.
Without their daily words of wisdom, The New Sanctuary will become an extremely dull sanctuary.
Due the nature of this blog however, I doubt if this will become their permanent sanctuary.
So I would like take my hat off to the unsung heroes of Malaysia, The Uncouth Politicians.
Never in my mind I would thought ISA could be use to protect people.
Syed Hamid justified Tan’s detention under the ISA with the reason that it was part of the government’s preventive measure “to ensure her safety”.
Maybe their interpretation of protecting people greatly differs from every layman’s point of view.
We are just ordinary people but they are politicians so big brudder knows best?
How many people could have thought that ISA can be modified to protect people?
When 20 people are assigned to guard against one person, it will surely provide a sense of security of the affected person.
Not even the PM is protected by more than 20 people at the same time.
Since there is a lack of effective protection program in this country, tweaking ISA could be pragmatic as you don’t even need assholes disguised in the form of MP (Memang Perlahan) to approve the bill.
When MPs from different factions kept arguing about approving the imaginary Witness Protection Bill, any so called witnesses under police custody would be long dead already.
Witnesses do not give a shit about your arguments when there are terminators wanting to put a bullet in their head.
So converting the Internal Security Act into a part time protector could be the most genius decision ever made by the home ministry.
It was first experimented on the tormented reporter Tan Hoon Cheng (she is the FIRST witness who had the balls to record ah mud’s speech and published it while others act dumb) and you can see the mission was extremely successful.
It felt exactly like for the first time you are on the verge of losing your virginity.
Next time when some one’s safety is being compromise, ISA can be utilize to protect any one.
Every witness will go home happy and no more ministers (specifically from the law ministry) will embarrass themselves on national anymore TV by saying there is Witness Protection Act to protect whistle blowers nevermind about the fact that authorities had a glowing reputation of arresting whistle blowers instead of perpetrators.
